Barat card maker

Make a barat card from the groom’s side or the bride’s side, in English or Urdu, and download it for WhatsApp or print.

How it works

  1. 1Pick a design and a side. Groom's side or bride's side, English or Urdu.
  2. 2Type the details. Names, the date, the barat time and the hall. The card updates as you type.
  3. 3Download and send. Save it as a PNG for WhatsApp, or as a PDF to print.

Leaving out the bride’s name

Many families don’t print the bride’s name on the barat card. Turn off “Show the bride’s name” and the card reads “Hamza, with the daughter of Khalid Rasheed”, or in Urdu, “حمزہ ہمراہ دخترِ خالد رشید”.

Not sure what to write?

The groom’s family invites guests to come with the barat. The bride’s family invites them to receive it, often as the rukhsati. Our barat card wording has both, in English, Roman Urdu and Urdu, ready to copy.

Write the real time. If the barat arrives at 7:30, put 7:30, and give the hall’s area and city as well as its name.

Want replies and directions too?

A picture card can’t tell you who’s coming. An eInvite invitation is a small website you send as one link: the hall on a map, every function from dholki to walima, and each family replies with how many are coming.
