Wedding invitation messages for WhatsApp, in English and Urdu

A good WhatsApp wedding invitation message is short: a greeting, who is getting married, which function, the day, date and time, the place, and one link for details and RSVP. Below are messages for every function in English, Roman Urdu and Urdu. Change the names and copy them.
We wrote these the way families actually send them: Salaam first, the function and the time early, and the details behind a link so the message stays short enough to read on a lock screen. Swap Hamza and Ayesha for your own names.
Nikah invitation message
Assalam o Alaikum! With the blessings of Allah, the nikah of our son Hamza with Ayesha will take place on Saturday, 11 December, at 5 pm. Your presence would mean a great deal to us. Details and RSVP:

If the nikah is only for close family, send this message to them alone, with a personal link that shows the nikah. Everyone else gets the walima message. On a nikah invitation card each family's link shows only the functions they're invited to.
Mehndi invitation message
Assalam o Alaikum! Ayesha's mehndi is on Friday, 10 December, at 7:30 pm at Shalimar Lawn. Wear yellow, green or orange and come ready to dance! Please let us know if you're coming:

Baraat invitation message

Walima invitation message
Assalam o Alaikum! You are warmly invited to the walima of Hamza and Ayesha on Sunday, 12 December, at 8 pm at Bagh-e-Gul Marquee, Canal Road. Please tell us how many of you are coming:

"How many of you are coming" is the line that gets you a headcount. With a walima invitation card each family answers with a number and it adds up for you.
Dholki invitation message
The dholki starts! Wednesday, 8 December, from 7 pm at the Qureshi house, Model Town. Dholak, songs and chai until late. Come as you are, and tell us you're coming:

Reminder message, two days before
A gentle reminder: the walima is on Sunday at 8 pm. The map and parking details are on the same link. If you haven't replied yet, please do today so we can confirm numbers with the caterer.
Yaad dehani: walima Sunday raat 8 baje hai. Naqsha aur parking ki tafseel isi link par hai. Agar abhi tak jawab nahi diya to aaj hi bata dein taake hum caterer ko ginti de sakein.

Tips for sending wedding invitations on WhatsApp
Send to people, not only the big group
A message in a 200-person family group gets buried in minutes. Send the main link to the group, and a personal message to elders and close family.
Send early, then remind once
Four to six weeks before is usual for a shaadi, earlier for guests abroad. One reminder two days before is enough.
Keep the details behind the link
Long messages with three addresses get cut off on a lock screen. Name the function and the time, and let the link carry the rest.
Use a link that shows a preview
WhatsApp shows a preview card for most links. An eInvite link shows your photo and names, so it looks like an invitation in the chat, not a random web address.
Don't send a new image when something changes
If the time moves, a new picture card means two versions in the chat. Edit the online card instead and send one line: "Small change, the latest details are on the same link."
