Dholki card for the family group

A dholki doesn't need a printed card. It needs the date, the house, a time and a line like "Dholak, songs and chai until late. Come as you are." Our editor asks for exactly that, step by step, and builds the card around your words.

Add a photo of marigolds or bangles from our library, or one from your phone. Add your own song if you'd like guests to hear it when they open the card.

A dholki card can be light. Say whose dholki it is, the night (or nights), the house and what to expect. No Bismillah and no formal lines needed, unless your family likes them.

Some families hold a dholki every night for a week. Add each night as its own event, at the same house or different ones, and guests reply to the nights they can make. The schedule shows them in order.

Most invitations start small. Send the dholki card first, then add the mehndi, baraat and walima when the dates are fixed. It's the same link, so the family group always has the latest card and nobody scrolls back for an old picture.
