Mehndi and barat card wording, from the bride's side and the groom's side

A mehndi card names the family hosting, whose mehndi it is (the bride's rasm-e-hina or the groom's mehndi), the day, date and time, the place, and the dress colours. A barat card from the groom's side invites guests to go with the barat and says when and where it leaves; from the bride's side it invites guests to receive the barat and says when it arrives, with the nikah and dinner. Wording for all four is below, ready to copy.
Both families usually send cards, and the wording changes with the side: the family hosting speaks first, "our daughter" or "our son" comes before the other family, and the times are the ones that family needs guests to keep.

Put the colours on the card. It is the first thing guests ask about a mehndi. If the mehndi is a joint event for both sides, name both families: "The Rasheed and Mehmood families invite you to the mehndi of Ayesha and Hamza".

Small things guests notice
- Write the real time. If the barat leaves at 6:30, write 6:30, not "after Maghrib".
